ANDRONIKOS – KONSTANTINOS DIMOPOULOS

Director / Screenwriter / Producer

I am interested in the spherical and holistic existence of an artist.

Since 2004, I have worked as a professional in many of the stages of a cinema and television production. That fact makes me appreciate and understand all the expertise that contributes to a perfect and successful artistic work. I always try to evolve through my studies and through my experience practicing my art.

I am inspired by human relationships, by humans’ choices in life, and by their everyday dilemmas. My intention is to deepen my knowledge of human nature and to study the characteristics that compose every personality; the balance or imbalance created by our relationship with our inner self, the others and the environment.

I have graduated from Stavrakos Film School with studies in film direction, and I have also finished my Bachelor’s degree (Media Production / Film Directing) at the Queen Margaret University of Edinburgh.

In 2017, I completed my postgraduate studies (Fine Arts / Film Directing) with honors, studying at the film.factory program of the famous
Hungarian director Bella Tarr, with scholarships from Onassis Foundation and Sarajevo Film Academy. My professors were the internationally known filmmakers Pedro Costa, Zeki Demirkubuz, Atom Egoyan, Victor Erise, Abel Ferrara, Fred Kelemen, Carlos Reygadas , Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

In 2020, I was selected to participate in the program Talents Sarajevo, and in 2021 at the 1st Directing School that was realized through the Municipal Peripheral Theatre (DE.PE.THE) of Veria, Greece. I have also attended seminars of acting, writing, production and philosophy.

I have taught cinema in Attika schools through the “S{cool} Life” program of MEGARON The Athens Concert Hall, and I also participated in Stavros Niarchos program “Stagona egw, Okeanos mazi”.  Also, I was responsible for the art direction / direction of the 9th Theatrical public awards All4fun.

Currently, I am preparing my feature film “Vulnus” and I am at the stage of funding for the TV mini-series “Nihta Vathia” (script by Ioannis Tsiros) and “Magiko Vouno” (script by Nikos Demetropoulos).
