Festival Jury 2026

The Jury of the Third Edition of the Moonlight Online International Film Festival
consists of three personalities belonging to one and the same creative family:

Based in Los Angeles, Tammy Blass is an actor, educator, and retired nursing leader whose creative work is shaped by a lifelong appreciation for storytelling, performance, and the human experiences that connect people across cultures. As a jury member for the Moonlight Online International Film Festival, she brings curiosity, empathy, professionalism, and respect for independent filmmakers to the review process.

Her acting experience includes a lead role in the feature film The Two Daisies, as well as a forthcoming lead role in its sequel. She has also worked as a background actor with Central Casting Los Angeles and appeared on Equal Justice with Judge Eboni K. Williams, experiences that have deepened her understanding of performance, collaboration, and visual storytelling.

Tammy has pursued formal training through Margie Haber Acting Studio, Clu Gulager’s Film Acting Workshop, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, among others. Her training reflects a commitment to authenticity, camera presence, emotional truth, and thoughtful character work.

Before acting, Tammy served as Director and Dean of Nursing Education at the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health, LAC+USC Medical Center, where she led educators, supported thousands of healthcare professionals, and contributed to teaching, publication, and professional development. This background gives her a grounded, compassionate perspective on stories that explore resilience, responsibility, ethics, and the complexity of ordinary lives.

She values films that reveal character with honesty and sensitivity, and she approaches the festival experience with both artistic appreciation and thoughtful judgment. Her combined background in acting, education, leadership, and healthcare informs the care she brings to viewing, discussing, and honoring independent film.

Tracy L. Reed is a film and stage actress currently based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Her experience in the branch includes roles in stage productions such as Hello Dolly, Anything Goes, Welcome to the Monkey House, Guys and Dolls and Story Theater.  She was also a member of an improvisation troupe which performed locally in the Los Angeles Area. She has won multiple awards for public speaking and dramatic interpretations.

Her training includes classes at the Margie Haber Acting Studio based in Los Angeles, CA and the masterclass “Film Acting: So Much More Than Just ‘Performing For The Camera’!”.

Tracy also received her Ph.D. in the field of Sociology and has spent the past decade conducting sociological research on issues such as gender, ethnicity, communication, mental health, patient satisfaction, and identity.  She has presented her work at multiple academic conferences and she is the author of scholarly articles in two books on identity, and in several peer-reviewed journals.

She recently completed filming the feature film The Two Daisies in which she played the title character. She has now begun work on a sequel to that film.
